Baby Dee är tillbaka i Göteborg, denna gång med band!

"Inspired by the classic philosophical Persian lyrics Omar Khayyám wrote somewhen in the 11th and 12th century (following our computation of time), it nevertheless also features more recent, offbeat characters like a childhood acquaintance of Dee's called Kent Lang. Kent is the hero of an eponymous song which took the extraordinary songsmith 8 years to write: „At the age of six he was the most degraded human being I ever knew. When Kent walked down the street he'd piss on every tree like a dog and say "Fuck you!" to everybody he met. He managed to get expelled from kindergarten within fifteen minutes of his arrival... But apart from being dirty and obscene and having a look in his eye that would make Charley Manson squirm he wasn't all that bad. As far as I know he never hurt anybody. He just horrified them.“

We expect an album full of fantastic Baby Dee-moments, heart-breaking songs saturated with love for the lonely, the weird and alienated.

Needless to say that there will be a tour to celebrate the release of „A Sky of Loving Arms“ - like the album it will feature what Dee Norris calls „the best of bands“: The Trembling Bells' Alex Neilson hails from Glasgow and is one of the most talented and soulful drummers to get these days. Spanish guitarist Victor Herrero has been prominently featured by his wife, the amazing American singer and songwriter Josephine Forster, while Joe Carvell is a much in demand virtuouso on the double and the electric bass.

And of course there is Baby Dee herself: An enchanting song writer, classically trained harpist, circus sideshow veteran, and transgender street legend. Her infectious cackle and extraordinary talent on piano, harp and accordion has caught her many musical admirers including Will Oldham, Matt Sweeney and Andrew WK. She has toured with Little Annie, Current 93 and Marc Almond."
