Migrants and Natives - 'Them' and 'Us' Mainstream and Radical Right Political Rhetoric in Europe


In her new book "Migrants and Natives" (Sage, 2020), political scientist Kristina Boréus explores hostile and anti-immigration rhetoric in contemporary European politics. Topical and timely, the book guides the reader through the trajectories of radical right parties and contextualizes discriminatory rhetoric in wider immigration and integration politics.

In this book launch, Boréus discusses "Migrants and Natives" with political scientist Karin Borevi from Södertörn University.

Föreläsare: Kristina Boréus is Professor of Political Science at the Institute for Housing and Urban Research, Uppsala University. Her research interests include ideology studies, right-wing populism and discourse-analysis. Karin Borevi is Associate Professor of Political Science at the Department of Political Science, Södertörn University. Her research interests include studies of immigration, citizenship and multiculturalism.
