Online activism workshop in support of METU pride defenders (write for rights)


On December 3rd, Amnesty Students of Stockholm invite everyone to participate in our online letter-writing workshop in support of the Turkish LGBTI+ group which members are now on trial for unlawful assembly. Their crime? Organising a pride march at their university which had banned such marches against the backdrop of Turkey’s homophobic laws which forbid LGBTI+ groups to assemble.

In this online workshop we will begin by discussing the case, why its important, and what you can do about it! We will also have time to write letters/emails/news articles/sign petitions, and more! So join us and try out some classic Amnesty activism efforts. There’s power in numbers:) Join the workshop by following the zoom link in the event!
