Ett rollspel lett av curatorn Hannah Zafiropoulos

Delta i en workshop som inspirerats av de rollspel som ägde rum i Den kvinnliga medborgarskolan i Fogelstad (1922 - 1954). Som en del av utbildningen på Fogelstad skapade kvinnorna det fiktiva samhället Komtemåtta, där de kunde spela de olika rollerna i ett samhälle för att på ett konkret sätt lära sig hur det fungerar. Hur kan vi förstå Komtemåtta idag och hur kan vi använda den som modell för att reflektera över samtida frågor kring medborgarskap, demokrati och politisk organisering? Workshopen kommer att hållas på engelska.

The Komtemåtta Citizens’ Assembly A role play workshop led by curator Hannah Zafiropoulos Participate in a workshop inspired by the role play activities of the Fogelstad Women’s Citizenship School (1922 - 1954). As part of the education at Fogelstad, the women created the fictional municipality of ‘Komtemåtta’, in which they would each play the roles of different members of the community to learn about the functioning of society. How might we understand Komtemåtta today, and how can we use it as a model to think about contemporary issues of citizenship, democracy and political organising?

Participants will become characters within a speculative future set in the Fogelstad municipality of Komtemåtta. Inspired by live action role play gaming, the workshops give participants the opportunity to escape from reality to collectively imagine alternative futures, questioning what other kinds of world are possible. They will create and simulate their own ideal society and respond to external forces without a predetermined plot or outcome. No prior experience or knowledge required, just a willingness to play and experiment together.
