Feminism in authoritarian democracies

This lecture will describe existing frameworks in feminist scholarship in order to understand how they could be used to examine new forms of patriarchal and oligarchic power present in western societies. In particular, the talk will focus on the intersections of gender violence, economic inequality and patriarchal power that comprise authoritarian movements within democracies, using the US as a case study.
