WelcomeOUT Uppsala Pride Festival 2018


WelcomeOUT is the first pride festival with a focus on asylum seekers and newly arrived gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, pansexual, queer and asexual people in Sweden.

This year, the festival will host many popular and important events and activities as last year, as well as new ones. There will be movie and documentary screenings, educational lectures, performances, open mic for queer poets, parties, meet the author events with Hans Olson and Gunilla Bergstrand, as well as different trans, ace, BiQuPan, and student coffee gatherings. WelcomeOUT will also provide an HIV testing service, a clothes exchange event, LGBTQ+ asylum advising, makeup and art workshops, and a lot more! Helga Trefaldighets Church will also join us by hosting a Rainbow Prayer “In the Name of Love” on Friday, September 14th. To wrap it all up, there will be a big Pride parade followed by cultural performances.
