Queer Spaces in Gaming - Pride with DICE and Sverok


Pride with DICE and Sverok How do we create queer spaces in the gaming world? Is playing games different if you have a body outside of the norm?

Sverok and DICE invites all Europride-goers and gaming enthusiast to an event to analyse the situation for LGTBQ-people in games and gaming. Knowledgeable developers, gamers and acitivists will discuss what problems there are and how the industry can best develop.

Program (Minor changes may occur) The event will begin with a talk by web developer and freelance gaming journalist Maria Sjöberg, discussing digital games from the perspective of a queer developer and gamer.

The talk will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Linnea Risinger, discussing how we can create and take care of queer spaces in games and gaming.

Pre-registration All visitors to DICE have to register beforhand and sign standard non-disclosure agreements. In order to participate you must register using the form, at the latest by july 26th (26/7).

PLEASE NOTE! You have to be at least 16 years old to sign the NDA. If you are younger than 16 and want to participate, your guardian will have to sign the agreement for you.

The venue is accessible by most manual wheelchairs, but has a 10cm threshold that might inconvenience some models. Speakers will be using microphones.
