Filmmaker AW/Dinner with Rose Troche

Rose Troche is an award-winning writer, director, and producer of film, television, and new media. You might know her as the director, producer, writer, and editor of the lesbian cult classic "Go Fish” as well as being the director and/or producer of TV’s famed “The L-Word” and films like: "Bedrooms and Hallways," “Concussion," "Safety of Objects," among others. She could easily be considered one of the foremothers of “new queer cinema.” More recently she has turned to VR as a medium for filmmaking. Her first VR film "Perspective: Chapter 1; the Party” was an official selection at Sundance in 2015 and "Chapter 2" premiered at Sundance in 2016. In 2016, Rose Troche was awarded the Sundance Institute Time Warner Fellowship Program Grant for her upcoming VR comedy series LGBTQIA. And in 2017 she returned to the Sundance with "If Not Love."

Rose will be hanging out at Whippet Lab and they thought it might be a great opportunity for you all to meet her and screen two of her VR pieces. Co-sponsored by Stockholms feministiska filmfestival & Cinema Queer.
