Gender equality month


What can be done to ease access to resources and opportunities regardless of gender? This series aims to promote awareness of possibilities and challenges presented in the quest to achieve gender equality on a global scale – entailing a world where women and girls are provided equal opportunity to shape society and their lives.

Gender Equality month is presented by the Uppsala Association of Foreign Affairs and FEMSAM, in collaboration with FEMJUR.

February 8th – Swedish Lecture: Feministiska rörelser i Latinamerika

Time: 6:15-7:30 PM. Place: Hörsal 2 Admission: Free.

February 22:nd – Fundraiser and Panel Discussion

Time: 4:30-5:00 PM. The panel discussion will be starting at 5 PM. Place: Östgöta Nation Admission: 35 kr SEK. We accept donations by cash or Swish. All proceeds will go to FEMDEFENDERS.

March 1st – English Lecture: Kurdish feminism & democratic confederalism in Rojava

Time: 6:15-7:30 PM. Place: TBA Admission: Free.
