Women In Philosophy: Conference. Uppsala University


This conference will be categorised in four broad sections; theoretical philosophy, practical philosophy, history of philosophy and aesthetics, through which leading female philosophers in these fields will present their work and we will give students a chance to share their ideas too.

The aim of the conference is to counteract the impression of philosophy as a male-dominated discipline and to provide inspiration of female students of philosophy whilst surrounded by such role models. Note, of course, male students are still very welcome.
